Each box is 29 crosses wide and 49 crosses high. We have put together a set of 8 squares next to each other and 6 rows of squares below each other. The whole is framed by a beautiful border and then becomes 283 crosses wide and 339 crosses high.

28 count / 11 threads / 5.5 x/cm : 51 x 62 cm
32 count / 12.6 thread / 6.3 x/cm : 45 x 54 cm
36 count/ 14 threads / 7.1 x/cm : 40 x 48 cm

The pattern is embroidered in two colors, but of course you can give it your own twist and make it in any color or number of colors you want. You can also adjust the layout of the boxes to your own liking or add boxes yourself. Annelies, for example, has embroidered 3 squares next to each other on a 20 cm wide linen band.

If you make the sampler as we offer it you will need:
Embroidery fabric of your choice (for example Zweigart Belfast Natural 12.6 threads), size 70 x 100 cm. This is spacious, but then you also have room for your own input.
Yarn: 12 skeins of the main color and 3 skeins of a second color DMC (eg DMC 815 and 930).

If you are going to work on embroidery tape, just like Annelies, you will need 2 meters of 20 cm wide tape.

11-ply linen binding from Vaupel & Heilenbeck, in Natural with 3 woven blue edges, a total of 17 cm wide. The part to be embroidered is still 13.7 cm (75 crosses) wide.
The price is per 10 cm. With multiple quantities you will of course receive this in one piece!

A few years ago I bought this beautiful antique sampler "GH1857" that stands out because of the use of color. This was the inspiration for the Pincushion Club of 2020-2021. By popular request I have now also put the entire sampler on a pattern and published it in this beautiful book together with the patterns of the Pincushion Club.
The book contains the pattern of the sampler, all patterns and work descriptions for the pincushions and needle book and an alphabet for the personalization of your project. Size Sampler: 301W x 294H (19" x 18 1/2" on 32 ct fabric)

This sampler "Ivlie Godefroid" caught my eye because of the beautiful colours. Upon closer inspection, the sampler turned out to be full of nice motifs. A landscape with a church, butterfly, shepherdess with all her creatures and the more traditional motifs such as the reclining deer in the garden, a ship, cradle, etc.
The sampler is not dated but was probably made in the mid-19th century in Belgium, France or Luxembourg.
I charted the sampler and used a number of motifs to make a pin drum, pin cushions and needle book. These are all in this beautifully designed book.
